This year we are hosting our annual “Parent/Guardian Academy” for new families.  The event will include a tour of the high school, information on accessing your child’s grades and attendance, ways to keep informed of school activities, graduation requirements, how to help your student be successful during high school, and more.  We hope you will join us for the SHS Parent/Guardian Academy on Wednesday, August 29th starting at 8:15 a.m.  Approximate length of the academy is two hours.  We will start the academy in the commons of the high school (inside the main building of the school).

The high school administrators will host the spirit guard volunteer training on August 29th at 10:15 a.m. in the library.  This is open for anyone in the community who would like to be a volunteer.  We will also have the HIB yearly training for volunteers at 11 a.m. in the library.

We will have the first day of school on Tuesday, September 4th.  First period starts at 7:40 a.m.  We will be on regular schedule that day.

The Staff and Students of Stanwood High School invite the Class of 2022 to our Twelfth Annual LINK CREW FRESHMAN ORIENTATION, 8:00 a.m. – Noon, Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Stanwood High School Gym.

The purpose of this orientation is to make the transition from middle school to high school a positive one.  Seniors and juniors will be serving as leaders and mentors to the freshmen.  Large and small group activities are designed to address students’ needs and concerns in an enjoyable manner.  Students will be given campus tours, and they will receive their class schedules.  Wear comfortable clothes and don’t bring all your stuff… travel light!  If you have any questions, please call Link Crew Coordinators Jeanne Kelly at 629-1300, Ext. 2214 or Bryan Olsen at 629-1300, Ext. 5101.
