Arch Bearers, Flower Gals, and Program Attendants packets need to be turned in by Friday, May 25th.  Application packets are located in the main office.

Prom Pictures are in.  You can pick them up in the SHS main office before school, after school, and during lunches.

Come see "An Evening of One -Act Plays"! Comedy, drama, and everything in between! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll watch your friends laugh and cry! For a great night out, come and see "An Evening of One - Act Plays" tomorrow, May 24 at 7:00pm!

Boys Varsity lockers need to be cleared out TODAY, May 23rd.

The SHS Spring Choir Concert, entitled "Number One Hits" today, May 23rd at 7pm in the SHS PAC.  There will also be an invite Choir show tomorrow, May 24th in the PAC during 2nd period.

There will be a player/parent Girls Basketball meeting tomorrow, May 24th @ 7:30 pm in the main gym to meet the new Lead Coach.  Incoming Freshmen and their parents are invited to attend.

We will be offering a summer school program this August for 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.  The program will be for 4 weeks Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon each day.  Please contact your counselor for more information.  There are a limited number of seats for this program.  It is for SHS and LHHS.

SENIORS, your books must be back and all library fines paid before you can get signed off to graduate!  If you have questions about your library account, see Ms. Byrum or Mrs. McNeal in the library. Do not return textbooks and library books to your teacher.  Bring them directly to the library.

Talent Show today, May 12th starting at 6 pm.  Tickets will be sold at the door: $5 with an ASB card, $7 without. 

 

 

 

Biology End of Course Exam study sessions will be held every Wednesday in Mrs. Hauenstein's room (591) from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. All students who will take the Biology EOC exam in June are invited to attend.

 

 

 

AP Testing today.  There will be no bells during testing time.

 

 

 

Do you want to be part of the Class of 2017 Commencement Ceremony?  ARCH BEARER and ATTENDANT Applications are available in the decorated box located on the table inside the main office doors.  Guys and Gals needed!!!  Any questions, please see Mrs. Lein in room 656, the JAGWear Room.

 

 

 

Attention students.

 

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching.  If you have library or textbooks at home that you are no longer using, please return them to the SHS library as soon as possible.  All books are due back by May 30th unless otherwise stated by your teacher.  All textbooks and library books must be returned before the school year ends.  

 

 

 

Seniors, you must have all books returned and damage/lost book fines paid before graduation!  If you have outstanding fines or missing books, you may not be able to walk at graduation.  Please check your Skyward account as well as your Destiny Library account for details.  If you have books or fines from previous school years, please check with Ms. Byrum or Mrs. McNeal in the SHS library for specific details to ensure your account is all clear for graduation.

 

 

 

Attention all students:  If you are still using the old google accounts that end with the domain: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. you may want to save your old information and transfer it to your NEW google account: @k12.scsd.ac., as these old accounts will be DELETED in July.  If you have old documents, presentations, and spreadsheets saved here, they will no longer be accessible after this summer.  If you would like instructions on how to transfer this information to your NEW google accounts, please stop by the SHS library and we will give you an instruction handout.  Save it before it gets deleted! 

 

 

 

Governor Inslee hereby directs that Washington State and United States flags be lowered to half-staff on Monday, May 15, 2017, in recognition of the annual Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Attention potential Cheerleaders:  Cheer packets are now available in the Athletic Office.  If you have already picked up a packet, please come back to see Mrs. Wark at  lunch time TODAY!

Spring musical Fiddler on the Roof will be presented this weekend, March 8, 9, and 10.  Tickets are $8.00 for students and $9 for adults. The play is at 7:00 p.m. in the SHS performing arts center.

Practice for Macho Volleyball today, March 8th, at 7:00pm till 8:00pm in the Main Gym.  Tournament will be on the night of Tuesday, March 13th. 

FREE Choir Concert Thursday March 15th at 7pm in the PAC.

2018 Congressional Art Competition. The U.S. House of Representatives holds the nationwide high school visual art competition to encourage and recognize artistic talent in each Congressional district.  The winning entry will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol, and the winning artist will receive two free plane tickets to Washington, D.C. to attend a reception with other winners from across the country.  Entries must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27.  For more information contact Laura Gelwicks at 425-252-3188.

Baseball Jamboree Today, 4:00 p.m. Leaving 1:30 p.m.

Attention FBLA members; FBLA State written tests will be available in Mr. Colby's room beginning today.  If you are going to FBLA State and have an FBLA test to take, please make arrangements with Mr. Colby to take your FBLA test (or tests) beginning TODAY.

ASB election materials will be available from Mr. Colby (Business Ed hall, room 322) beginning today, March 8. To become an ASB officer, you will complete a registration form, participate in a readiness interview and then present a campaign speech to the student body. Stanwood High School needs students who are interested in serving others and continuing the positive climate that resonates in our school. Are you up to the challenge?
