Attention Stanwood High School – today at lunch is the last day to sign up for the blood drive on Monday, November 20th.  All students 16-18 can give blood.  Please visit the lunchroom blood drive signup table.  Students will not be able to sign up to donate blood on Monday, November 20th.  TODAY is the final day for signing up.  Please come visit the blood drive table in the Commons during your lunch.

On Thursday, Dec. 7th the ASVAB Career Exploration Program Exam will be offered to students at no cost and without obligation.  Take advantage of this unique opportunity to assist you in career planning. This test is offered to Juniors and Seniors but you must sign-up in the Counseling Office or room 619!!

FBLA members: if you missed the FBLA meeting last week, please see Mr. Colby as soon as possible.  Competing in FBLA is highly rewarding and a really fun way to learn new skills as you gain great experience.  FBLA members competing need to pay the $30 membership dues.  Please come talk with Mr. Colby about your future in FBLA!

SBA testing today.  There will be No Bells.

No School tomorrow and Friday.  We will be having conferences on these days.

Today’s 2nd period Student Senate meeting will be held in the Old Auditorium (Driver’s Ed room).  Attendance will be taken at today’s Student Senate meeting in the Old Auditorium.  Full agenda today!

Stanwood High School will host its first blood drive of the year on Monday, November 20th in the SHS library. Sign- up today and tomorrow during both lunches in the Commons.  Sign up early because we can only take 80 students. See Mr. Colby if you have any questions.  NO SIGN UPS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY OF THE BLOOD DRIVE.

Talent Show today, May 12th starting at 6 pm.  Tickets will be sold at the door: $5 with an ASB card, $7 without. 

 

 

 

Biology End of Course Exam study sessions will be held every Wednesday in Mrs. Hauenstein's room (591) from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. All students who will take the Biology EOC exam in June are invited to attend.

 

 

 

AP Testing today.  There will be no bells during testing time.

 

 

 

Do you want to be part of the Class of 2017 Commencement Ceremony?  ARCH BEARER and ATTENDANT Applications are available in the decorated box located on the table inside the main office doors.  Guys and Gals needed!!!  Any questions, please see Mrs. Lein in room 656, the JAGWear Room.

 

 

 

Attention students.

 

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching.  If you have library or textbooks at home that you are no longer using, please return them to the SHS library as soon as possible.  All books are due back by May 30th unless otherwise stated by your teacher.  All textbooks and library books must be returned before the school year ends.  

 

 

 

Seniors, you must have all books returned and damage/lost book fines paid before graduation!  If you have outstanding fines or missing books, you may not be able to walk at graduation.  Please check your Skyward account as well as your Destiny Library account for details.  If you have books or fines from previous school years, please check with Ms. Byrum or Mrs. McNeal in the SHS library for specific details to ensure your account is all clear for graduation.

 

 

 

Attention all students:  If you are still using the old google accounts that end with the domain: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. you may want to save your old information and transfer it to your NEW google account: @k12.scsd.ac., as these old accounts will be DELETED in July.  If you have old documents, presentations, and spreadsheets saved here, they will no longer be accessible after this summer.  If you would like instructions on how to transfer this information to your NEW google accounts, please stop by the SHS library and we will give you an instruction handout.  Save it before it gets deleted! 

 

 

 

Governor Inslee hereby directs that Washington State and United States flags be lowered to half-staff on Monday, May 15, 2017, in recognition of the annual Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Our annual arena conference night is tonight, November 13th from 6 - 7:30 p.m.  This is an opportunity for parents to talk to your teachers.

Stanwood High School and Lincoln Hill High School seniors.  We will hold our annual financial aid night tonight, November 13th.  The event starts in the SHS library at 6:15 p.m.

Congratulations to the SHS Knowledge Bowl teams who competed in this season's first tournament at Glacier Peak High School last Monday.

There were 61 teams competing against each other. Stanwood's three teams took 3rd place, 9th place, and 28th place.
