Talent Show today, May 12th starting at 6 pm.  Tickets will be sold at the door: $5 with an ASB card, $7 without. 

 

 

 

Biology End of Course Exam study sessions will be held every Wednesday in Mrs. Hauenstein's room (591) from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. All students who will take the Biology EOC exam in June are invited to attend.

 

 

 

AP Testing today.  There will be no bells during testing time.

 

 

 

Do you want to be part of the Class of 2017 Commencement Ceremony?  ARCH BEARER and ATTENDANT Applications are available in the decorated box located on the table inside the main office doors.  Guys and Gals needed!!!  Any questions, please see Mrs. Lein in room 656, the JAGWear Room.

 

 

 

Attention students.

 

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching.  If you have library or textbooks at home that you are no longer using, please return them to the SHS library as soon as possible.  All books are due back by May 30th unless otherwise stated by your teacher.  All textbooks and library books must be returned before the school year ends.  

 

 

 

Seniors, you must have all books returned and damage/lost book fines paid before graduation!  If you have outstanding fines or missing books, you may not be able to walk at graduation.  Please check your Skyward account as well as your Destiny Library account for details.  If you have books or fines from previous school years, please check with Ms. Byrum or Mrs. McNeal in the SHS library for specific details to ensure your account is all clear for graduation.

 

 

 

Attention all students:  If you are still using the old google accounts that end with the domain: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. you may want to save your old information and transfer it to your NEW google account: @k12.scsd.ac., as these old accounts will be DELETED in July.  If you have old documents, presentations, and spreadsheets saved here, they will no longer be accessible after this summer.  If you would like instructions on how to transfer this information to your NEW google accounts, please stop by the SHS library and we will give you an instruction handout.  Save it before it gets deleted! 

 

 

 

Governor Inslee hereby directs that Washington State and United States flags be lowered to half-staff on Monday, May 15, 2017, in recognition of the annual Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Pre-season conditioning at La Conner High School for track and field on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00-4:30.  

 

Open batting cages Friday nights 5:30-7:00

 

1st semester ends next Friday, January 27.

 

Family information night about AP/College In The High School/Running Start program will be on Thursday, February 2nd at 6:30 p.m.  In the PAC.

 

Anyone interested in competing in a power - lifting meet at Snohomish High School March 25th. See coach Rowe.  Weigh in is at 8:30, and meet starts at 9:30.

 

SHS Traffic Safety is now enrolling for 3rd quarter class beginning February 13th.  Class is 5 weeks.  Packets available in the commons, SHS Office, and SHS Website.  Questions…call 360-629-1317.

 

GSA will meet today in Church Creek Room 14 at 2:30 p.m.

Winter Sports Sign ups are going on now in the Athletic Dept.  Winter Sports are: boys and girls basketball, boys and girls wrestling, and boys swim.  First day of turn out is Nov. 14th.

 

 

 

Neil Simon’s very funny farce, Rumors will be playing at 7:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 12 in the PAC.   Doors open at 6:30 p.m.  Tickets are $9.00 for adults and $8.00 for students.

 

 

 

No Bells today due to SBA testing.

 

 

 

Veteran’s Day Assembly tomorrow in the PAC.  This will be by grade level.  12th grade will go 2nd period, 11th grade will go 3rd period, 10th grade will go 5th period, and 9th grade will go 6th period.

 

 

 

Traffic Safety DUI night tomorrow, Nov. 9th at 2:30p.m. at Church Creek room 20.

 

 

 

2016 Music Grants

 

The Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation is accepting applications for music grants through November 11, 2016. There are grants available for high school students (including home schooled students) with financial need who reside within the Stanwood-Camano School District and who have demonstrated a commitment to the field of music. Bruce Kollmar Band Grant (1-2 grants @ $500 each) - Bruce Kollmar was the much-loved director of the Stanwood High School Band for 26 years. This grant is open to junior and senior high school students who have an accumulated GPA of 3.0 or above (or a teacher’s recommendation) and can be used for music lessons or for the purchase of an instrument. Application deadline is 4:00 p.m., Friday November 11.  See SCSD Wedsite for details.
