We will be giving the PSAT on Saturday, October 13th.  The cost for the test is $25. 

 

The Homecoming Presentation assembly will be on Monday, October 1 in the gym. See Mr. Colby if you have any questions. VOTING WILL CLOSE BY THE END OF THE SCHOOL DAY today, September 20. The Student Government class thanks you for your participation.

 

Year Books will go up to $70 on Monday, October 1st

 

Homecoming Dance is on Saturday, October 6th.  If you would like to bring a guest pick up a Dance Pass form in the SHS Main Office.  Forms must be turned in no later than September 28th for approval.  No late passes will be accepted.

 

Knowledge Bowl practice begins tomorrow!  If you are interested in being on the team, come and check it out.  Practice begins at 2:30 pm in room 586 (Mrs. Britain’s class).

 

Today we are on Advisory Schedule.  After 2nd period, you will go directly to your 3rd period class instead of to your advisory class.  Third will go from 9:31 – 10:58 a.m.

COME ONE - COME ALL!!!  Find out all about KEY CLUB!!!  NEXT WEDNESDAY MORNING at 8:30 am - SEPTEMBER 26 --- Find MRS. RICARTE in the COMMONS!!!  She will be the one with doughnuts!!!  

Key Club is a great way to give back to the community AND get your community service hours in!!

Invitation to all staff and students; please check your school email for the Homecoming 2018 ballot that was sent out to nominate someone to represent Stanwood High School on the Homecoming Court. The Homecoming Presentation assembly will be on Monday, October 1 in the gym. See Mr. Colby if you have any questions. VOTING WILL CLOSE BY THE END OF THE SCHOOL DAY this Thursday, September 20. The Student Government class thanks you for your participation.

Talent Show today, May 12th starting at 6 pm.  Tickets will be sold at the door: $5 with an ASB card, $7 without. 

 

 

 

Biology End of Course Exam study sessions will be held every Wednesday in Mrs. Hauenstein's room (591) from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. All students who will take the Biology EOC exam in June are invited to attend.

 

 

 

AP Testing today.  There will be no bells during testing time.

 

 

 

Do you want to be part of the Class of 2017 Commencement Ceremony?  ARCH BEARER and ATTENDANT Applications are available in the decorated box located on the table inside the main office doors.  Guys and Gals needed!!!  Any questions, please see Mrs. Lein in room 656, the JAGWear Room.

 

 

 

Attention students.

 

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching.  If you have library or textbooks at home that you are no longer using, please return them to the SHS library as soon as possible.  All books are due back by May 30th unless otherwise stated by your teacher.  All textbooks and library books must be returned before the school year ends.  

 

 

 

Seniors, you must have all books returned and damage/lost book fines paid before graduation!  If you have outstanding fines or missing books, you may not be able to walk at graduation.  Please check your Skyward account as well as your Destiny Library account for details.  If you have books or fines from previous school years, please check with Ms. Byrum or Mrs. McNeal in the SHS library for specific details to ensure your account is all clear for graduation.

 

 

 

Attention all students:  If you are still using the old google accounts that end with the domain: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. you may want to save your old information and transfer it to your NEW google account: @k12.scsd.ac., as these old accounts will be DELETED in July.  If you have old documents, presentations, and spreadsheets saved here, they will no longer be accessible after this summer.  If you would like instructions on how to transfer this information to your NEW google accounts, please stop by the SHS library and we will give you an instruction handout.  Save it before it gets deleted! 

 

 

 

Governor Inslee hereby directs that Washington State and United States flags be lowered to half-staff on Monday, May 15, 2017, in recognition of the annual Peace Officers Memorial Day.

All students are invited to come to the first FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) meeting in Mr. Colby's classroom (322) at 8:30am tomorrow, Sep 19. Come find out how FBLA can unlock a prosperous future through travel, competition and community service. Hope to see you at 8:30am on Wed, Sep 19th!
