Ten of our students will be recognized at the February 12th Scholastic Arts Award Ceremony (2911 Colby Avenue, Everett, WA).  This event will be at 6:30 p.m.  The opening exhibit reception will also be that same night 5 - 9 p.m. at th Schack Arts Center (2921 Hoyt Avenue, Everett, WA).  You can see the art through March 4th (Mondays-Fridays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays 12 to 5 p.m.).  Click on the document link to see all the winners. pdf Scholastic Awards Winners 2018 (28 KB)

The Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of the 2018 high school scholarship cycle. Over 200 scholarships are available to be awarded to graduating high school seniors who live or attend school within the Stanwood-Camano School District; including home-schooled students and those who live locally but attend private schools outside of the area.   This year includes the addition of several new scholarships including the Dr. Dennis and Sharon J. Couch Future Teacher Scholarship, the Gilroy Law Firm Scholarship, the Joseph & Cathlyn Holton Computer Science Scholarship and Trade Apprenticeship Scholarship, and the Steelhead Swim Team Scholarship.  The lists of all available scholarships and instructions for application can be found on the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation website at The deadline for submission of completed applications is 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018.  For more information, please contact the SHS Counseling Office or Natalie Hagglund, SCAF's new scholarship coordinator, at (360) 770-5842 or This email address is being protected from spambots. Congratulations to Kennedy Shamblin who represented Stanwood at the regional finals for Poetry Out Loud in Burlington--she has been selected to continue on to the state finals in Tacoma on March 10th.  Both of her recitations were outstanding!

The seniors are going to hold a senior parent dessert night on Wednesday, February 28th from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the high school gym.  Families are asked to RSVP by February 20th.  You will be receiving information soon about how to RSVP.
