Hort Plant Sale going on through May 12th

Our annual Bloom’n Plant Sale started on Wednesday, April 25th and runs through Saturday, May 12, 2018.  Hours will be Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  We are growing annuals, perennials, vegetable starts, herbs and baskets.  Come check us out at the back part of campus (use the baseball field parking lot area to enter).

National Honor Society Inductions April 26th

We will hold our National Honor Society Induction Ceremony on April 26th.  This event will be in the Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m.

Sports Medicine State results

Stanwood placed 10th as a team in the large schools division. Team members are:  Emma Bash (sports medicine), Sydney Brager (sports medicine), Stephanie Yerigan (sports medicine and 34th overall individually), Myranda Schlosser (sports medicine), Brandon Perez (sports medicine), Lindsey Crawford (sports medicine), Karis Brooks (medical terminology), Hunter Corbett (medical terminology), Chloe Douglas (exercise physiology), Sofiya Demchuk (exercise physiology), Neveah Patterson (CPR), and Kyran Quinn (CPR).  Karis Brooks placed 10th in the medical terminology event.  The student forum presentation team of Madeleine Hepper and Peyton Wickstrom placed 2nd for their presentation "The effects of exercise on cognitive function".  In the taping event, Stephanie Yerigan and Taylor McCall finished in the top 20 out of 100 competitors.  Congrats to all competitors!

SBA ELA test week in April

Hi-Q National results

The Stanwood High School Hi-Q team competed in the National Hi-Q Competition on Friday, April 13, earning 2nd place.  They competed against teams from Alabama, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, via an online video-conference.  (The Pennsylvania team defended their 2017 championship.)  The final scores were:  Pennyslvania 48, Washington 44, Alabama 33, and Wisconsin 27.

Prom information for seniors

This is an announcement for all senior students regarding prom. Prom this year will be held on May 5th from 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. at Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish. Tickets will be going on sale on April 23rd and will continue until the 27th. Ticket sales will be happening during both lunches in the commons. Tickets are $40 and will not be sold at the door. If you are bringing a guest your dance pass must be turned in to the office by April 20th. No one over the age of 21 is allowed at the dance.

FBLA state 2018 results

Stanwood FBLA competed at FBLA State in Bellevue during Spring Break, April 4th through April 7th.  Our FBLA chapter sent 23 students to compete; and once again we have a solid group of 4-5 Stanwood FBLA competitors who became eligible for FBLA Nationals in Baltimore this June.  Please click on the link below for all award winners.

HIV/Aids training for grades 10, 11, and 12
