Running Start Informational Sessions
If you are interested in doing Running Start next year, plan
to attend one of their virtual information sessions. Students that are
juniors and seniors next year are eligible and should apply for running start in April. Here are the links to the college running start pages and how to sign up for information sessions:
Students with an F or I from first quarter:
If you had an F or I (incomplete) for any course for first quarter, you
are required to attend teacher office hours on Wednesdays for the month of January.
You can use that time to work on missing assignments if you don't have
any questions for the teachers. Students who engage with teachers have
much higher grades than those who are not showing up to Google Meets or
are not complete assignments. We are doing this at both Stanwood High
School and Lincoln Hill High School. We will take attendance for these
required office hours.
Inclement Weather Update:
If
we experience inclement weather on a school day, learning will not stop
for Stanwood High School. Every Thursday morning at 7:10 a.m.,
teachers drop work in their Google Classrooms for the students. The
expectation is that students will continue to work on assignments that
were already delivered.
**The teachers will hold Google Meets if power and connectivity
permits. We will still be able to count the day as a school day as long
as students have assignments available.
The Yearbook class needs your help.
You can be involved in submitting photos for our yearbook this year. Please review the attached document to see how you can submit photos.
