SCHEDULES

 

VARSITY CHEER
Incoming students in grades 9-12 are invited to tryout for our non-competitive sideline dance, stunt and tumble cheer program. Fall Cheer supports all home and away varsity Spartan Football games as well as any postseason opportunities. Winter Cheer supports home varsity Spartan Basketball games for both boys' and girls' teams as well as any postseason opportunities.

Students can tryout for Fall Cheer in the spring (Mar-Apr), and tryouts for Winter Cheer will take place in the fall (Sep-Oct). 

 

Anyone in current grades 8-11 hoping to try out for Winter Cheer is invited to come to spring cheer practice to prepare!

 

Spring Cheer Practice:
May 16 - June 15
Every Tues/Weds/Thurs from 2:30pm to 4pm
SHS Wrestling Room
Please bring a completed Cheer Registration Form to attend.

 

 

2023 TRYOUT INFORMATION

March 6 - 10, 2023

5:00 - 7:00pm 

Mon/Wed/Fri - SHS Wrestling Room

Tue/Thu - LHHS Gym

 

Spring Tryout Eligibility
All forms should be submitted to Ms. Lawrence in Room 310 at SHS before or after school (7:10 - 2:40).  Current 8th graders can turn in to their middle school main office.

At the beginning of the season (fall and/or winter), parents/guardians must submit the online Athletic Participation Pack and select "Cheer" in step #10. Students must have a current sports physical (within 2 years) on file in the Athletic Office before they will be eligible to participate. Cheerleaders are also required to purchase an ASB card. Cheerleading  demands a significant time commitment - expect to practice or support an athletic event every school day throughout the season.
